I caved in....

And I cannot believe I did. Yes, it is true, I finally started a twitter. I blame this beautiful man....

Yes, Josh Groban is the entire reason I now am a tweeter. Tell Me he's not gorgeous... I dare you. 

I had honestly been anti-twitter for like EVER. I thought it was dumb... who wants to know what's going on every second of your day? not me. But apparently I do. So I joined.... And I'm kinda excited to twitter stalk everyone. Oh me oh my...I cannot believe my own self.

But good news! By twitter stalking, i have found that Josh is making a new album! Wait.... I just died. LOVE HIM. Cannot wait for what all his musical amazingness will bring to us next.....

And dude, how about that World Cup?! I didn't get to watch the game, but it sure looks like North Korea gave Brazil a run for their money! Two to One?! Like, come on Brazil! I did get to watch most of the Portugal vs. Ivory Coast game.... CRAZY. Mmhhh.... Love me some world cup. 

And I cannot wait to go watch some England games with a bunch of crazy English fans in two weeks.... It'll be INSANE! Oh and wait, my dad is possibly taking me to Pride and Prejudice sites? I just died....again. nbd. 

oh.my.goodness. I will absolutely be the happiest girl to go to any of these places... I have a bad obsession. But I'm so very excited for the next few weeks. EFY with Alexandra. Scotland, Ireland and England with the fam.... Gotta love Summer.

And my dear, dear brother leaves Thursday morning.....

People of Edinburgh, treat him well for the next two years. He will bring the very greatest blessing into your life. The Church of Jesus Christ. I love my brother, and although I'm sad he's leaving, I'm actually more happy for the amazing example he has set for me. He could not be a better example of the Savior himself and I love him- more than any other boy who will ever cross my path. (at least till I met my hubby). I will be updating his blog with selections from his letters and news and pictures from his mission. I know he'll be an amazing missionary for our Lord and I ask that you keep him in your prayers so that he can be guided to those who need the gospel and also, so that he will remain safe while working in the field. 

Life s good, isn't it? I challenge you to get down on your knees and thank God for all your blessings tonight- you'll be thankful you did.

AND THE WINNER IS......

So here goes the story. My brother, Caleb, came home from BYU last weekend to open his mission call.... Which failed to come on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. (Monday was a federal holiday so no mail). Needless to say there has been much anxiety and stress and worry in the Barton family for the past 2 weeks as we waited for his call. Today, the missionary people hand delivered it to his halls at BYU and we listened as he opened it. :) He reports to the England MTC on June 18th and our family is going to drop him off! I'm so excited and proud of him! He is the best big brother ever and I love him to death! He's going to be an amazing missionary!

Gettin in the Business

#1) Have you ever given people secret little tests? Ya know the type that you set up in your head and then set different objects that the person must accomplish in order to pass your test? I'm sure you have cause I'm almost positive that everyone does the same thing. Since I'm expert secret tester, I've had three tests going this week on four different test subjects. Would you like to know the sad thing? THEY'RE ALL FAILING. Which in turn is making my self-esteem lower (not really), which in turn is making depressed (haha.JOKE), which in turn, is going to bring about something dreadful-I haven't gotten to what that dreadfulness is yet.... It also seems, that the worst secret-test-takers are always boys! I mean, when they take pictures like this.....

 

It's only expected. Who in their right minds would take a picture like this and then leave it on the girl's camera to blackmail back to you in the future? Only a failure of a secret-test-taker. So boys (assuming you read this blog), I would suggest you GET IN THE BUSINESS and learn how to figure out the girl's secret-tests. Trust me, theyt're testing you pretty much everyday.  And no, not all the test-takers are boys, or are they?

Hopeful acceptance to BYU (If not, I have no idea what's going to happen...)

Summer Semester of BYU with mayor in either English or Public Relations (maybe a duel major? Major in one minor in the other?)

Lots of fun dating and BYUness

Year 2012

Caleb comes home from misssion!

Year 2013

This will be when all my High School guy friends will be returning from their missions and I have not planned after this, well not in specifics. :) But here's the general plan:

I'm a freak and want to marry somebody from high school- NO I do not know WHO yet, I just think it'd be super adorable. It may happen, it may not. 

I want to graduate and open up my own Event Planning business. :) Weddings, parties, etc. :)

Of course kids will come, and life will go on but I'm just going to let that play out for now. No use planning everything before I know nothing. :) But I'm Excited.

#3. I LOVE it when English teachers give you an assignment that you actually CANNOT wait to start working on. :) That happened to me and I'm just crazy wanting to start it. So even though it's not due for 6 days, I'm starting it TODAY. :) I'm gettin into the business. :)

{Brother}

My brother is the best. No arguments there. He is such an amazing example to me and I love him so very much! I'm thinking about him cause he started not doing his homework on Sundays so I decided to follow him this year and HOLY COW it's amazing how much my grades and ability to do my homework has been! Like I have an essay due tomorrow that I didn't do on Saturday aand was seriously considering doing on Sunday but decided not to cause Caleb wouldn't have so I did it all today and I was able to do it so fast and speedy and I think it's a pretty good essay! Plus, my grades overall have improved without me doing like... anything. I'm just doing better in school! It's the greatest thing!

Another thing he inspired me to do was be an avid journal writer, which I'm also so grateful for! Cause seriously, if I hadn't started to follow his example, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to remember anything-no joke I probably have the worst memory on the face of the Earth!

I'm just so very thankful for the amazing brother he is to me and I love him tons and miss him so very much at BYU! Stinkin BYU you stole my best friend... :( But he's loving it up there and I'm so happy for him. :) I love my brother so much! Who do you love?
